Whatsapp is generally considered to have the best search message history on iPhone by reviewers, and like Facebook, it highlights the term you are looking for. Therefore it is easy to find in the thread.

How to search Whatsapp messages:

Step 1 ====> Open Whatsapp and login.

Step 2 ====> Then navigate to Chats on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3 ====> Now pulls down on the screen to reveal the Search bar at the top.

Step 4 ====> Begin typing the phrase, words, event, or person you are searching for.

Step 5 ====> Messages that match will appear with the search terms highlighted in bold.

If you click on a result, it will take you to that message within the thread. The search term will still be highlighted, making it easy to locate.

How To Search Text Messages On Iphone

Messages search will look through and find all matching iMessages and text messages on an iPhone. Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1 ====> Open the “Messages” app on iPhone

Step 2 ====> From the message thread screen, tap and hold on a message then pull down on the screen to reveal the hidden “Search” bar

Clearing out the search box will make the message thread screen appear as usual, and you can pull down from the messages screen to search at any time

How To Search Message History On Facebook Using Messenger Conversations

Users cannot search for certain messages in the iOS Facebook or Facebook Messenger app. To do so, you have no way but using your computer. It is also worth noticing that if one message was deleted, it will not appear when searching.

Now follow the instruction bellow to search Facebook Messenger messages:

Step 1 ====> Log in to your Facebook account on your computer.

Step 2 ====> On the left side of the main page, tap on Messenger.

Step 3 ====> Then, you will be taken to the desktop version of Messenger. You will see a Search Bar at the top left of the message list.

Step 4 ====> As you start entering the term you want to find, it will automatically search for people. However, you can also see a box saying Search Messages for [search term].  Then click on that.

Step 5 ====> After that, it will find the entered key words in all your messages. Tap on a message to receive the results in orange/yellow color.

Step 6 ====> At the top position, it will let you know the number of results found within that message. The app also has two arrows, which make it convenient for you to check the results.

Like iMessage, as you click on a result, you will immediately go to that part of the message.

How to Check New Messages Via Siri

I was hoping I could use Siri to easily search through all of my iMessages, but I suppose that is a request for a later update. What you can do, however, is ask Siri to check for new messages. This is a nice hands free feature, especially if you get a text while driving that you need to read.

How To Check New Messages Via Siri:

Step 1 ====> Hold down the Home button, This operation will activate  Siri.

Step 2 ====> Say, “Check new messages,” or something along those lines.

Step 3 ====> If you have no new messages, Siri will let you know.

Step 4 ====> If you do, Siri will being to read your new messages, beginning with the name or phone number of the sender. Siri will then ask if you would like to Reply the message.

Step 5 ====> You may request Siri Read Again if you didn’t the content of the message at the first time or say Reply and voice your message.
