Creating such a filter is, alas, a tad tricky in Gmail, and, possibly most disappointingly, you cannot have a filter (or a combination of filters) both send the auto-response and delete a message. You still can get the obnoxious sender’s emails out of your immediate sight and way, though.
How to Block Messages from Annoying People in Gmail
Now that you are tired of receiving message from this particular people, as the sent you annoying information. Though, you have decided to block messages from the sender, here are the steps to follow.
Step 1 ====> Open up one of the emails from the person you want to block inbox. From here, you can click on the three Dot next to the reply button, and then choose the Filter Messages Like This command.
Step 2 ====> After clocking Filter Messages Like This, small window will pop up, then click Create Filter
Step 3 ====> Choose what you want to happen to any email that comes in from the other person, ie the person you open in your inbox. These are among what you could do, archive it, delete it, or just forward it to your junk folder.
Any of those will keep the message from showing up in your inbox. We suggest, selecting the Mark as read and Delete it options and then Click Filter which will send any future emails directly to your trash, where it will sit for 30 days before being permanently deleted.
Step 4 ====> Now that you have clicked the Create Filter button, the filter will be active and you will find it listed under Settings. Filters and Blocked Messages, in case you want to edit or delete it.
